It's been a long time...

It has been a very long time since my last update on this thing!!! Right now, (11:06 p.m.) seems like the right moment.

Recently, I have been having a rough time! I feel like I'm finally all of the way through it. I am 100% back on the ball in regards to finding another job. I will be filling out more applications tomorrow and scheduling my time more appropriately.

I have done nothing in the past two days except (1.) bake
YUM! Banana Bread Oatmeal Bars,

(2.) Create an Etsy seller account and go into business with my mom in order to pay my tuition this semester
This is going to blow your mind...,

and (3.) watch the game with my family and friends. :-D It was a win-win for me really... Arkansas Vs. Jersey... C'mon. I win both ways.
A little bit about Tusk.
Little bit about Scarlet Knights.

Other than all this... I have a demon cat named Wilbert who keeps tearing and shredding my toilet paper off the roll!

The end!

One Week = Eleven New Facebook Friends!

Good afternoon!
Life is awesome. I really am feeling a whole lot better about this whole Arkansas thing. I have made a ton of friends-- or have at least MET tons of people who WILL be my friends eventually. I'm making a good amount of progress in the social realm of life. I have made 11 new facebook friends in the past week! Yeah! (THAT is impressive for a hermit like me! Haha...)

My classes... they could still be better! They still aren't the worst classes ever! Honestly, it could just be my total lack of motivation to actually DO the work. I think if I get a steady schedule of studying and "homework-ing" down that I will probably feel tons better.

This weekend is... Bikes Blues & BBQ ( http://www.bikesbluesandbbq.org/ ) Oh, yes. THIS should be interesting! Yet another cultural experience for the record books. :-)

It's 87 degrees in here!

Good evening!

Do you ever feel completely comfortable, and then you see a temperature that shocks you? I'm sitting here surfing the web (do people still say that?), and I look up to see my thermostat. Yes, sir! It's 87 degrees in here! Impressive, considering I am not sure that it's that hot OUTSIDE.

Anywho! I was seriously stressed out about this crazy test I had to take today-- it ended up being pretty easy. So much wasted energy on stress! When will I LEARN!? WHEN!?

Speaking of stress... I am still looking for another job. I'm officially on the serious prowl. That's right. Serious. Every business is getting hit with my resume! Whether it be a pet groomers, cafe, insurance company, or post office! Here I come Fayetteville! Dickson Street will never be the same! Okay well... maybe that's a little overboard-- but not by much!

And now... for Thrive! Yay!

My apartment... At night!

Good evening!

So, I just wanted to explain how the rest of my day went... We'll look at it in bullet point on account of my laziness.

  • I walked 2 miles uphill, and 2 miles downhill today. There is some serious muscle building going on right now!

  • I returned my really expensive book and got a full refund for it! Woohoo!

  • Church at Pathway was really great. I got a ride there and a ride back home. Safe and sound!

  • I walked to Guppy's place and got my shampoo from her shower that I forgot... Shew!

  • I am sitting in the futon... Wait-- is it in the futon or on the futon? Anyway! I'm sitting down writing this... and listening to all of the things happening in the rooms next to me. I can hear a TV on... I hear someone running water somewhere... I occasionally hear a knocking on a wall. I think that someone is putting a picture up or something like that. I must confess that I am a little creeped out by living alone.

So there is my day! I know, it's not interesting...

QUESTION OF THE DAY:
I'm thinking of having some kind of get together in order to maintain some local friends, or grow some more... but I have no money to feed people. Suggestions?

I < 3 Sundays!!!

Good morning!

I am completely in my apartment now. My bed was delivered yesterday, I paid my rent, I opened an account with the electric company, I bought sheets, etc. Last night was the first nght that I slept here. It was very comfortable. That bed is amazing.

What else is new? It's SUNDAY!!! Someone from Pathway is picking me up soon, and taking me to church. Woohoo! I'm pretty excited about that. I'm going to miss Skypeing it up with Grace, but if I don't get some serious fellowship in over here soon who knows what I'll do! Ha. Just kidding... Kind of.

Which brings me to this point... It's been very to go from being in fellowship basically all the time, feeling love all the time, and having this great big sense of family to... whatever transitional phase this has been in reference to "the church" and "my life." For the first couple weeks I felt this uncomfortable void. -I suppose that that's what happens when your eyes shift from the mission and onto something as trivial as school. Since when did that become the most important thing in my life? Yea, now isn't that a scary thought? Well, lesson learned. It makes sense considering that while I was in Egypt I didn't feel this way. It's because I didn't loose focus there, and here... I think I did. I'm glad I bought windex the other day... Everything is crystal clear again. Back to radical normality. Shew! Life.

From confessing to a lighter note... I put a hot pink shower curtain in my bathroom last night. I thought it would help liven up this place with all of it's white walls. [This was after my epiphany last night about what was going on in my life. The timing might makes sense to those who know me... Maybe.] Sometimes "gloom"'s butt needs to get kicked by a hot pink sower curtain.

It feels better in here already. :-)

NOW I'm almost settled in...

Hello! It's been a while!

I was looking at the last post on here, before things started to fly by me like crazy...
The title of the last post was, "Almost Settled In..."... Just for the record, I was NOT almost settled in. So, here is an update:

I bought a bed! It will be delivered to my apartment tomorrow night! -and OH! I found an apartment. I got the keys last week and am almost totally moved in. It's not saying too awful much seeing as I don't have that much STUFF to be moving in with to start off.
The thing in my apartment: Futon, clothes, bag of rice, towels, etc. I'm getting there!!!

Also in the news! I dropped that Entymology class, and I picked up Mass Media and Pop Culture of The Middle East! YES! A class the DEFINITELY counts! JOY!

Other than that... I am still on the job search!

Message me, or text me for my new address!!!

(Not in that order.)

Last night, I met with Chrissy and Steve's friend Carrie for coffee and then headed over to Thrive. Thrive is a campus ministry sponsored by Pathway Baptist Church.
